Be More Present, Make More Memories

There is no better part of my day than the times I take to get down on the floor with Hudson and just play with him! I am on his level, we chat back and forth, pass balls, read books, colour, whatever he wants to do! These are the moments where my phone is charging in a different room, the tv is off and there are no distractions. Just Hudson and mama, mama and Hudson.

One of my goals this coming new year is to be more present and involved in all the little moments of the day to day life. One item I have found that really helps me do this is our Lit Joy Crate that comes in the mail! One box is filled with so many fun little items for you and your little one. This sleepy time box came with a sippy cup, happy baby snack pouch, sticky stars for the roof, a bath time mitt and two bed time books for Hudson! It also came with, a sample of yummy relaxing tea and a code for one free chatbook for me! So many items to help us relax for bedtime AND make memories.

They have SO many options for different themed crates and for children of all ages. For the month of January you can use code Holiday15 for 15% off of your first crate!

Lets all make one of our goals this year to be more present and make more memories with the people we love!

The start of a new year is interesting. It brings on a lot of reflection on the past 365 days. It makes me think of what days were happy, which were sad, what milestones were met and what lessons were learned. Twenty-sixteen was a year of major growth for me. Learning to be a mama to Hudson boy and growing as he grew so much. It was a year of loss as my family lost a sweet sweet family member and the pain of that is still very fresh. It has been a year of finding myself and realizing more than ever who I want to be for myself and for Hudson. Having a child really changes a lot. For me it has changed how I view the world. It has changed the things I am scared of. It has changed what I find most important in this life. It has absolutely changed me!

What will Twenty-seventeen bring....

I have a lot of different hopes for this coming year.

I hope to find more motivation and work my booty off to reach my business goals. This can be hard for me and I can get discouraged easily BUT I am going to do my best to commit to growing my two small businesses. I know I can do it so I WILL do it!

I hope to be as true to myself as I have ever been. I feel like I have been on this crazy six year journey of really finding myself. We live in this world that is always trying to shape us into what it wants us to be and we are often surround by people telling us who we "should" be. However, I firmly believe that we are who we are and we all need to be true to that. It's my biggest hope for Hudson growing up that he can just be who he is and be confident and happy in his own skin so.... I have to be that example and do the same!

I hope to give more love and receive more love! Sometimes it can be hard to ask for the love that you deserve. It can be for me anyways. We are always told to be selfless and give give give but sometimes it's okay to take for yourself too. L.O.V.E... it's what makes the world go 'round and we all need it in our lives! So I plan to give give give AND take take take.

One of my big hopes is that I can find more opportunities to serve others. It has always been an aspiration of mine to make a difference in this world. I'm still figuring out how exactly to make my mark but this is where I want to start! This includes finding companies who give back! I think it is so amazing when I company sets out to give back to those in need. Just Porter does just that.
When you buy a bag Just Porter works with a community in need by hiring a local bag maker, fills the bag with school supplies from a local small shop business and then delivers that bag to a child in need. How cool is that?! So by purchasing one amazing bag you help create jobs, support a small business AND help educate a child! Pretty dope guys.

What are your hopes for this coming new year?
