Merry Christmas Eve Eve. I will be MIA for a week or so while I soak up as much uninterrupted time with my man and my family as possible! As I am sure you all will be doing the same! It is after all what this time of year is all about. It's funny how this time of year makes me feel. At times it has made me feel sad and stressed remembering some sad and trying times around this time of year. Yet, I am filled this year with SO much gratitude it's unreal. I feel hope and happiness and I feel so incredibly loved by my Savior and my Heavenly Father.
Sometimes it is really hard to see and to believe that there is a plan for you. A great plan that will bring you great happiness. I have at times felt like that was really not true. That I was alone in it all trying to make my way through all the muck. However, now I realize how wrong I was. I am truly lucky and truly loved and blessed by my Father in Heaven. I am also loved by my brother, Jesus. It is indescribable and unthinkable the sacrifices that man has made for each and everyone of us.
For God so loved the world, so he gave his only begotten son.- John 3:16. The very first gift was not wrapped. It is so important to remember what the real meaning of Christmas is. It is about a child who grew in to a man who changed the world and changed all of our lives. It is about a plan that has been set out for us all. We not only need to remember this at this time of year, when all the ribbons, bows, and wrapping paper seem most important. But to remember this and keep it in our hearts ALL year round.
I am grateful this Christmas to be married to my wonderful husband. I am grateful to be able to hug and kiss my family. I am grateful for my Utah family which consists of so many people. Without them my family would seem so much farther away. I am grateful for friends that keep in touch. I am grateful for my life plan. Most importantly I am grateful for God and his son Jesus Christ. Let's keep them in our hearts and minds always, especially in the next few days to come.
Merry Christmas to all of you.
