Since some family and friends were unable to be there in the Temple with us, we wanted to do a ring ceremony. I have always thought this is such a nice touch to a wedding anyways. To be able to stand in front of everyone you both love and be able to express your love to one another. Also, I wanted Kevin to know just how much he means to me and how happy I was on that day. I am so glad we decided to do this. I will honestly tell you, there was not a dry eye in that place. Even our photographer shed a tear or two. (We love you Lori).
First his dad spoke a little about Kevin and then about us together. Then my dad spoke about marriage and gave us some great advice. Then since we were already married, we walked down the aisle together hand in hand. It was such a beautiful special moment that I will cherish forever. We both balled like babies and I thought my words were going to be great and so touching, but Kev's …wow he blew me and everyone away. That man. He is full of surprises.
After, we got to eat and mingle and we had an open mic. It was such a fun and relaxing part of the day! I honestly was prepared for so much stress that day and I can tell you it just wasn't stressful. Maybe at times. But, all I remember is being so happy and feeling so much love for and from everyone. Our day was perfection!
Since we decided to keep everything small and intimate, this was the last part to our day. We just got to spend as much time as possible with our loved ones and the closest people to us. No reception/ line/ long night. It was such a great decision. Our wedding day felt so special because we got to spend it with our most favourite people and really pay attention to them.
I loved our day! Can you tell?! I love being married but I wish I could go back and relive this day just one more time!
Get ready for a post about our food decisions tomorrow. After all, the food is the most important part am I right?
