This Thing Called Snow...

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to help out on set as a stylist for one of this years photo shoots for UGG.

The 4 am wake up call to be on sight up in the freezing cold and snow filled mountains was questionable at best. However, the scenery was breath taking, the company laid back and fun, and if I could do this job every day I would! There is just something amazing about watching an outfit come together and then watching the entire idea come together through photography. It's really quite scrumptious if you ask me. {not to mention...the lovely Gentri Lee and I were downing halloween Oreos by 6 am... so who could complain about that.}

I am so grateful for the opportunities I have been able to have since I have made the big leap to Utah. It's been tough and I think that sometimes that fact unfortunately clouds my vision and doesn't let me fully see all of the blessings that are coming about because I made this move. But when I take the time to really look and see what is really going on around me, I know and understand more fully that this is where I am supposed to be and this is where I will be able to keep growing and going in the exact direction that has been planned for me.

It is sort of like watching an outfit come together and then seeing the entire picture come together...piece by piece I am watching my entire story come together...the entire picture developing slowly. And well....that is also just quite scrumptious...if you ask me.

a new home.

So you might have noticed that this little blog has had a big update. A new look and a new name. In a sense it has found a new home. I thought I would just let you in on the reason why.

Tippee Canoe was all about my gypsy life. The last three years that I have spent just wandering about and exploring life. Growing and finding me. It's been good, it's been great and even at times it was less than awesome, but it was exactly what my little soul needed.

Since my move to my own "new home" it hasn't been easy. At times its been really tough. You might wonder why since the last three years have been spent wandering, searching, and being away from my family. This time though it's just so different. After all my journeys and adventures I have always known where I would end up when they were over...home. With my family and in the comforting arms of those whom love me to no end. This move and this adventure isn't a see how it goes, it's a stick it out even when thing get tough. Even when the only answer seems to be to pack it all up and run to those arms that are waiting.

I'm sticking it out.
It's finally starting to feel a little more like my new home. So I guess I just thought my blog needed the update too. No more Tippee Canoe. No more here there and everywhere. Don't worry though....still lots of fun and adventure. Just maybe in an entirely new way. The journey is sticking it out.

So from now on you can call this blog Love, Lo. Like the side bar says...Ramblings from my travels, closet, mind and most heart.

Thanks for sticking it all out with me.

Keep your eyes on and open for some serious changes happening soon for little ol' Tippee Canoe. I will explain more once everything is up and running. I just figured since my life was getting a fresh start so should the blog! So be excited! I sure am.

Fresh Peaches and Things.

Just a few things.

ONE. No I do not normally where socks with shoes like this. ick. But....I there's that.

TWO. Yes this is pretty much what I look like on a regular day....minus a crazy top knot and glasses. What can I say... I'm all about the leggings and baggy sweaters. Don't even try to tell me you aren't. We all know you'd be lying.

THREE. There probably aren't many things out there that rate higher on the scale for sunday summer evenings than picking fresh fruit. Mainly the peaches. oh.those.peaches.

FOUR. Summer really is almost over. Bum.Mer. You can feel it in the air. The nights are getting cooler, despite the raging hot days. Also, there is just that smell in the air. You know the one I'm talking about. It's inevitable really...fall is on it's way. I guess that will just have to mean more baggy sweaters....and possibly a new pair of boots. Yah. Definitely a new pair of boots.
