leather + polka dots + rain boots of course

Boots: similar Jeans:GAP Tee: URBAN-PHILOSOPHY

Ok, so I must be really into white pants or something lately. Either that or maybe they are a subconscious way to brighten up the oh so rainy days.
I mean seriously you guys it has been raining cats and dogs...and birds, and squirrels, and mice, and cheetahs, and...ok you get the picture. It.Has.Been.Raining.

But, the ever so optimistic person in me {ha. that made me laugh too} decided to make a mental note of the silver lining when it comes to these dang clouds and rain drops.

one. Look at all of that green...mmm..scrumptious.
two. You don't even have to come up with a good excuse as to why you didn't do your hair. Because that would be ridiculous if you did.
three. You get the ever so great privilege of purchasing a seriously cute pair of rain boots.
four. No more fire ban threats...bring on the ooey gooey goodness of a perfectly burnt marshmallow.

I've got the cute rain boots and let's be real, I've got this whole not doing my hair thing down, and there is a bag of jumbo marshmallows with my name on them...

So bring on the rain. I kid I kid. Rain you can get the heck out of here, we don't like you anymore and you are kind of ruining everything.

But I'm keepin' the boots....because I mean seriously you guys. These boots.
The hair though....maybe I should do something about the hair.

Colorado Lovin'

Oh my. Can you see that beauty.. 3 days just was not enough to soak it all in, but we did our best. So so beautiful, relaxing and fun.

Full of time spent with one of my favourite people, meeting new great people, fishing, boating, good food, good laughs, amazing weather and just some plain old happiness floating around. Oh.So.Good.

The only thing worse than leaving was being stuck in the airport with a delayed flight out. Let me tell you... no matter how much you love people watching, six plus hours is enough to make you start losing all faith in humanity. There are all kinds out there.

I won't lie, I was overly bummed. I mean, who in their right mind wouldn't be. Bummed about leaving, bummed about missing people, bummed about the delay, bummed about the pilot coming over the intercom and saying "sorry for the delay folks, we were experiencing mechanical difficulties that we are still recovering from." ummm isn't it like pilot one-oh-one to never ever say anything like that? It's like we learn in dental school...NEVER say the words "oops", "uh-oh", or anything along those lines. Maybe that pilot missed that day in flying school. Oy. But then I got to hang out with a pretty darn cool five year old who shared his gum because it "helps your ears not explode." and who thinks he lives in heaven because he has horses and cows and oh my goodness baby chicks. Brought me back to the innocence and beauty of this world and helped me to just be grateful for the last few days.

I'm so blessed to have been able to travel even more, which is what I love doing.
So blessed to have certain people in my life whom I just kind of adore.

Oh, and I saw not one but two of my favourite animal... a moose! A baby one at that..sooo it doesn't get much better than that.

Here's hoping your weekend was as good as mine...without any delays.

Life Lately via Iphone

My life lately has been an amazing fantastic whirl wind. Just the way I like it.

I was a model on the abc4 show Daily Dish. Modelled in a glamping photo shoot. Ate the most delicious waffles ever to be tasted {besides my own of course.}, went on hikes and picnics, spent plenty of time out doors because I mean seriously...the weather.

My time spent in Utah was full of adventure, new experiences, laughter, new friends, visiting with old friends. Just the perfect combination of all things/people I love.

Life.Is. Good. No complaints....other than how do I get this to be my life all the time? It will happen! I can feel it.

My Unknown Path

"Do not fear an unknown path to a known God."

I'm sitting here outside in the chilly air, wrapped in a cozy blanket. My parent's backyard in the perfect place to look up at the stars.
While looking at the stars a few nights ago someone asked me what I think my life will be like in five years. FIVE YEARS. At first thought that seems far enough away. Yet, when you really stop to think about it, that's not far away at all.
I gave some pretty typical answers and then the conversation continued on to other topics. Only I kept thinking about that one question...

...FIVE YEARS. I want to be living somewhere I love. I want to be doing what I love and makes me happy. I want to be with someone whom I love and loves me. I want to find love again in all aspects of my life.

Although my path is unknown...I can see what I would like be like, and what I can and will work towards. It's comforting to know that my path is known..just not to me yet. It's scary yet exciting.

I don't know exactly where my path will take me in five short years. Hopefully though I am headed down the right path now and can continue on that way to love and happiness...Because that sounds like a pretty great path to head down.
