Two Years. Seven Hundred & Thirty Days.

shirt//pants//scarf GAP shoes...who wears shoes?

2 years. 730 days.
That's how long its been since my world turned upside down.
Little did I know, it would for the better. It would be a blessing.
In 700 days I have done so much. Learned so much. Grown so much. I've had good days and I've had bad days. I moved to Hawaii. Got the tan I have always dreamed of. Jumped out of an airplane. Took up running. Fed a homeless man. Learned how to be a better daughter, sister, auntie, and friend. Got wonderfully lost trying to hike to the "Y". Ate a J Dawg. Slept under the stars. Swam in the ocean countless times. Met new lifelong friends. Started TippeeCanoe. Went back to school for art and dance. Danced like no one was watching. Went surfing. Moved. Then moved again. Then maybe again. Drank a coconut. Woke up to a Rooster. Watched the sunrise while eating cereal. Learned to love again. Learned to let go. Learned to forgive. Forgave. Hiked waterfalls and caves. Had fireworks for my birthday. Snorkelled. Cliff jumped. Watched a sunrise on top a volcano. Started practicing yoga. Lived through hot yoga. Made mistakes, because I'm human. Realized it's ok to be human. Stuck up for myself. Rode horses. Shot guns. Tried food I never thought I'd like. Went to a Mindy Gledhill concert. Had a lot of retail therapy sessions. Put 100,000 kilometres on the tin can. Ate the best sandwich to ever be made...twice. Ate my weight in fish tacos. Zumba'd my butt off. Grew my bangs out. Laughed a lot. Cried a lot. Gave up sugar. Took sugar back...and repeated. Learned another language. Learned to play guitar.
I followed my gypsy soul!
2 years. 730 days.
That's how long it took me to do everything you told me I never would. Thanks for the motivation!
After all..." The greatest pleasure in life, is doing what people say you can't do."
Bring on the next 700+ days. I'm ready for them!

XOXO

  7. Lauren, thank you for the beautiful post. I'm glad you've taken your trial and ran with it. They'll never know how much they hurt us. They'll also never know how truley grateful we are for what they taught us. You're better than what happened to you and I'm glad you know it. "We will each face times of difficulty, and the question is not when we will face them but how we will face them." - James B. Martino. Thanks for showing us how ;)
