We had these lovely gems on Christmas morning/afternoon! They were a hit!

YOU NEED:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons granulated sugar
4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 large eggs
1-1/2 cups buttermilk (OR) you can 1-1/4 cup milk and add a little vinegar to it! same effect!
1/2 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons red food coloring
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips (doesn’t matter what kind you use)

HOW TO:
combine all dry ingredients in one bowl
then combine all wet ingredients in another
add wet ingredients into dry(careful not to over mix)
add chocolate chips! (as many as you'd like but be forwarned that batter is already chocolatey!
Then cook away on a griddle!!!
AND ENJOY!

some ate them plain, some with homemade raspberry preserves, and some with syrup! go crazy with your toppings! Whip cream woulda been nice but alas we did not plan this one out!! Delish anyway you eat them!

XOXO
